About Lydia

Lydia joined Financial Plan’s advisory team in 2026 continuing a finance career that started all the way in Houston, TX. While her Texan accent is virtually non-existent, her southern warmth is hard to miss.

Growing up in Austin, Lydia received a full-ride scholarship to the Hotel and Restaurant Management Program at the University of Houston. During her time in the program, she worked as an assistant to a financial advisor, where she discovered a natural propensity for building relationships with clients. This ultimately led her to pursue a graduate degree in General Business before launching a career in the finance industry, starting with banking, and eventually earning employment with an RIA in Houston. It was here that Lydia honed her financial acumen and skills in tax planning.

Lydia moved with her husband, Steven, a CPA, to Whatcom County in 2025 to further their careers and the couple is now happy to call the Pacific Northwest home. They are exploring various outdoor hobbies including crabbing and hiking and can often be found crossing the border to explore BC’s world-class restaurant scene.

Upon meeting Lydia, you will quickly notice her warm and friendly demeanor. She enjoys getting to know new people and staying connected to her church community. She cares deeply for those she serves, making her a phenomenal addition to the Financial Plan family.
