David Dick, CFP®

David began his career in finance in the fledgling days of Financial Plan back in 2000 as a young advisor with a growing family. David quickly learned all aspects of both the operations and advisory side of the financial planning business, ultimately becoming Jamie’s first business partner in 2003. He now serves as both a Principal of the firm as well as CCO (Chief Compliance Officer).

Prior to joining Financial Plan, David served as Director of an international non-profit organization. His passion for philanthropic work remains a priority and he has built a specialty working alongside Foundations, Endowments and non-profit organizations. 

A Kansas native, David met his wife, Bonnie while both were touring with the missionary musical group the “Celebrant Singers”, an adventure that brought them all over the world performing for the likes of Mother Teresa and the former Archbishop of Canterbury.

David and Bonnie are the ultimate hosts. Most weekends in the summer he can be found catering an event at their home, cooking for a church event, or BBQing for the masses of youth who find their way to their house on a regular basis, thanks to Dave and Bonnie’s three young adult children. Dave is an accomplished drummer and loves all things musical. He has a particular passion for BBQing and meat-smoking and is always learning more and more about the film industry in which all three of his children are involved.
